
Kerianne Gwinnell
Director of the Traveling Natural History Program
Kerianne holds a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island. She worked as an educator, counselor, and eventually Director at a Clemson University marine science camp. Kerianne has developed and implemented camp programming in Massachusetts and later in Maine as a marine science educator at Herring Gut Coastal Science Center.. She now leads the Traveling Natural History Program, inspiring curiosity and a love of nature. In her free time, Kerianne enjoys birding, tide-pooling, and exploring Maine with her family.

Kyle Wonser
Assistant Director of the Traveling Natural History Program
Kyle grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and spent his childhood wandering the woods and caverns of the Midwest. He graduated from Miami University of Ohio with B.A.s in Zoology and English, developing a passion for science and storytelling that found a welcome home in experiential learning and outdoor education. Since 2012, ‘Nature Kyle’ has been working as an outdoor school naturalist in both Ohio and Maine, leading programs in environmental education, wildlife interpretation, and wildlife rehabilitation. His perpetual goal is to inspire kindness and curiosity in others. In his free time, Kyle explores the shores and trails of Maine, as well as hiking, writing, crafting, and creating.

Tyler Pascocello
Science Educator
Tyler holds a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of Maine. He worked as a wildlife technician for the University of Maine’s small mammal research crew and later as an educator and horticulturist at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. He now works as an educator in the Traveling Natural History Program, where he spends most days teaching at various institutions across the state of Maine. When he is not out teaching, he is back at the Wildlife Center taking care of our various animal ambassadors. In his free time, Tyler enjoys birding, wildlife photography, kayaking and taking long walks with his Australian shepherd.

Sam Cunningham
Science Eductor
Sam holds a B.S in Wildlife Biology and Wildlife Rehabilitation from Lees-McRae College, NC. They worked in Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers in both North Carolina and Florida working with avians, mammals and reptile species. They moved up to Maine to work as science educator in Saco, ME before joining the Traveling Natural History Program. As a science educator and part of the Traveling Natural History Program, Sam loves to teach about the natural world and the creatures that live in it. In their free time, Sam enjoys hiking, wildlife drawing and discovering everything Maine has to offer.
