Ready for a fun challenge? We’re playing “Osprey Hunt” at MOFGA’s Common Ground Fair this Saturday, September 21, and we’ve got awesome prizes for anyone who can catch us. This year’s “ospreys” are staff members Sarah Rebick and Alexis Grillo (more on them below). The twist is they won’t be stationary—you’ll have to search for them in the crowd. If you do, say hi, and we’ll reward you with a special Chewonki treat!
Plus, everyone who finds an osprey will be entered into a special Homecoming ticket giveaway. Huzzah!
This is Who You’re Looking For
Sarah Rebick, Director for Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki
Sarah will be at the fair in her Chewonki gear with Maine Coast Semester students and faculty from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don’t be fooled, though; while many people in her group will be wearing Chewonki gear, Sarah is the one you need to find! Here’s a few tips: Before 2:00 p.m., Sarah will be exploring the working animal demonstrations and other instructional sessions. After 2:00, find her volunteering at the recycling and compost area with students.
Alexis Grillo, Annual Fund and Alumni Manager
Alexis will be at the fair Saturday morning and afternoon with her baby girl, Arlo. She’ll be wearing a Chewonki hat and pushing a stroller decorated with eye-catching Chewonki flags. The most likely place to find Alexis? In the fine arts and craft tent, visiting the animals, or relaxing on a blanket in the shade.
