- Gather a notebook or pad of paper and pick a spot to observe.
- Make an entry either writing or sketching, focussing on what you see.
- Write about how you are feeling. Try and write about why you are feeling the way you are.
- Make an entry just focussing on what you hear/touch/smell around you.
- If you have a magnifying glass use it and write what you see. Move dirt, logs, leaves, grass to see if you can see anything you haven’t seen before.
- Try and write a poem about what you see, it could be a two-word poem, a shape poem, a haiku (5,7,5) a rhyming poem, an acrostic or free verse.
