We are delighted to announce that two hundred and fourteen campers arrived this Sunday for a landmark Opening Day celebration of Camp Chewonki. After a year-long hiatus from in-person programs, our campus is once again overflowing with energy and joyful laughter. And, if one milestone wasn’t enough, we also welcomed our very first on-campus girls campers to our new Eastside campus. Less than a week in, and it’s already a summer for the history books!
We will be hosting more than four hundred campers this summer from all over the country. Those who have already arrived are enjoying afternoon swimming at the waterfront, meet and greets with Grandpa the calf and Carolina the box turtle, as well as farm activities, arts & crafts, campfires, french toast, skits, and more.
