After more than a decade of excellent service to the Chewonki community, boys camp assistant director Henry Heyburn has announced his decision to depart and move on to his next adventure.
Henry, his wife Alicia, and his children Caroline and Henry Jr., have all been important participants in our programs over the years, including Camp Chewonki, Family Camp and Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki.
Henry served as a woodshop instructor and then the waterfront director before moving into the role of assistant director of Camp Chewonki for Boys. The strength of the program we have today is due, in no small part, to Henry‘s contributions and talents.
We’ll miss Henry’s smile and enthusiasm, and wish him all the best!
