Though Maine Coast Semester is not in session during the summer, Chewonki’s 25-acre organic farm is a bustling place at this time of year. Crops and livestock are flourishing under the care of Farm Manager Megan Phillips, Assistant Farm Manager Hilary Crowell, and Farm Apprentice Lisa Beneman, who is an alumna of Semester 40. They are grateful to have the help of two more recent semester graduates: Dina Alter of Semester 50 (and New Jersey) and Talia Isaacson of Semester 53 (and California), who are serving on the summer farm crew for the second year. Both Dina and Talia will be writing blogs about their experiences, so check out their upcoming posts to find out what’s going on down at the farm.
