Chewonki is very excited to announce that Jen Adams will be joining us as the Summer Wilderness Trip Coordinator! Jen will begin transitioning into her new role at Chewonki on Monday March 19. Please join us in welcoming Jen!

I’ve had the chance to go on many wilderness trips, both with students and friends, from canoeing the George River to backpacking in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa. I’m so excited to pass on lessons learned during these expeditions from a new position! Summer 2018 at Chewonki is going to be a new kind of adventure!”

About Jen:
Jen is from the sunny shores of Southwest Florida, but soon found out she much preferred the cold. This led her to Wyoming where she skied and studied and then earned degrees in Outdoor Education and Anthropology.
Jen first came to Chewonki in the summer of 2013 to work for Girl’s Camp and have since worked for All Girls Adventures, Wilderness Trips, and Outdoor Classroom. Some of Jean’s favorite things in the world are paddling at sunrise, the smell of low tide, and cooking breakfast over a fire.
