May 1 – Science and Math Outdoors Spring Workshop
Are you wanting to spend more teaching time outside, but need help aligning content with activities? Then join us for a workshop on Science and Math Outdoors: Exploring Environmental Phenomena to Engage in Sense-Making!
In this workshop you will learn about open-source K-6 lesson plans to engage students in meaningful science and math lessons outdoors.
Participants will receive a $100 Stipend and Contact Hours for attending. Coffee, tea, snacks, and lunch are included.

Teach ME Outside is a collaborative project that supports and works in partnership with Maine communities to ensure that all Maine youth have access to powerful, hands-on environmental learning opportunities.
Teach ME Outside builds on the collaborative work of many different organizations and individuals over the past decade and is led today by a partnership between the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, Maine Environmental Education Association, and Nature Based Education Consortium.
About Wilderness Medical Associates
Wilderness medicine courses are offered each year on the Chewonki campus in Wiscasset. Trip leaders, outdoor professionals and outdoor enthusiasts who want sound strategies for dealing with emergency medical situations in wilderness settings benefit from these thorough programs. The internationally renowned staff of Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) teaches these intensive courses. Instructors combine morning lectures with realistic simulations that are videotaped and critiqued. WMA courses are widely considered the most complete medical training for outdoor professionals.
