As someone said this week after perusing the guidebook for Centennial Weekend, “Wow, this really is going to be fantastic.” Registration is now at 371 and the schedule of activities is in place. There’s going to be lots to do both outside and inside. One of the highlights is sure to be the Stumblebums’ reunion performance on Saturday evening. Whether you remember the ‘Bums or know them only by legend, be here to witness this historic moment. In case their identities have eluded you, the Stumblebums are Scott Andrews, Paul Arthur, Jim Ballard, Tim Ellis, Ken Grant, Gordy Hall, Tim Harrigan, David Hudson, Don Hudson, Renny Little, and Joe Selle. That’s a lot of talent to hold in one place. Looking for inspiration while you’re back on the Neck? Dip into some sessions of “Chewonki at Work in the World.” Eight Chewonki alumni with different life paths will share the story of their work and their passions. Among them will be KC Golden, senior policy advisor at Climate Solutions in Seattle; and international photographer and world adventurer Jock Montgomery, based in Bangkok, Thailand. All of these talented alumni will have something to say, something to share, something worth listening to. Then you can balance the day with a paddle, a swim, a sustainability tour, farm chores, or—the possibilities are tantalizing. Can’t wait to see you on Centennial Weekend! You have two more days to Register here.
