With the last day of our Camp Chewonki@Home program behind us, we are eagerly looking forward to next summer and we hope you can join us in Maine.
We’ve heard from many families that “the summer without camp” was hard- for kids and for parents. We want you to know that we are 100% committed to safely opening Camp Chewonki next summer, in full accordance with all state and federal guidelines. Look for more updates about that soon.
Our team has been hard at work reviewing every aspect of camp and we want to let you know about some updates for next summer:
- Our zero-risk, non-binding “save my space” option is available now
- No deposits required
- Full registration will open on October 1st
- Tuition is fully refundable until May 15th
- No price changes from our 2020 rates
Our brand-new eastside campus is complete and will be home to Camp Chewonki for Girls
The 10-Day Program is now called the Puffin Program, for campers ages 8-11
We are launching a brand new Junior Maine Guide program for campers ages 16-18
We are removing the Full Summer 7-week option next summer, however, families can book two sessions back-to-back
We have renamed Camp Chewonki Wilderness Trips to Camp Chewonki Leadership Expeditions (ages 14-18)
All Leadership Expeditions are available in all-gender formats
We have added updated policies and language about gender inclusivity at Camp Chewonki
These updates, plus more news and updates will be available on our camp website when full registration opens in October.
In the meantime, we invite you to “save your space” for next year. We’re already dreaming of outdoor fun in the summer of ‘21!
Best wishes, and thanks again to everyone who participated in our camp@home summer program!
Charlie, Emily, and Jen
