Rodriguez, Principal at Susan T Rodriguez Architecture | Design, and Timothy Lock, Management Partner at OPAL Architecture. Rodriguez and Lock are the principal architects behind our recent campus expansion. This 45-minute event will give attendees an in-depth look at how our mission and program goals informed the design of both the site and buildings. Chewonki President Willard Morgan will moderate the talk.

Susan T. Rodriguez FAIA
Susan T. Rodriguez designs at the intersection of architecture and the public realm to create buildings and spaces that distill the essence of cultures and communities. Her award-winning work is recognized internationally for its contribution to the vitality of cities and landscapes, and the civic, cultural and educational institutions they serve. Noteworthy projects include the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, and Central Park’s new Harlem Meer Center. Ms. Rodriguez lectures frequently on her work and has taught numerous design studios. She received her master’s degree in architecture from Columbia and her undergraduate degree from Cornell where she has taught numerous design studios. In 2016, she received the Women in Architecture Design Leader Award from Architectural Record. She is a founding partner of Ennead Architects (formerly Polshek Partnership) and in 2017 began her independent practice. Rodriguez lives and works in New York City.
Timothy Lock AIA
Is Management Partner at OPAL, Timothy Lock specializes in the management and direction of large-scale institutional projects. He has worked closely with a variety of institutional clients to achieve complex programmatic and sustainability goals.
Timothy believes firmly in the importance of professional practice in producing transformational outcomes, and is committed to maintaining the highest quality of process and integrity of architectural services. He received his professional architectural degree with honors from Syracuse University. He then practiced extensively in New York City with several firms on a wide range of residential and commercial design and projects. Before joining GO Logic in 2012 and helping form OPAL in 2019, Timothy managed design and construction of high-end townhouse and apartment renovations as a project manager at MADE LLC and founded a small residential and commercial practice, Swis.Loc Architecture.
