Once you’ve enjoyed the Chewonki campus during Centennial Weekend, head out to enjoy your own adventure. Join Tim Ellis and Peg Willauer-Tobey on the beautiful schooner Mary Day, part of Maine’s famous windjammer fleet and spend your days savoring the passing scenery of this beautiful bay as you share a week with Chewonki friends. Sit back, relax and enjoy the most beautiful sailing grounds in the world, from the Camden coast through the Penobscot Bay islands. Read a good book; tend the sails; learn to navigate; and take a turn at the wheel. At anchorage each evening, you’ll have time to explore, poke about in a rowboat, go for a run or hike along the shore, bird watch, or take an invigorating swim. After a delicious hearty dinner, gather by the fire for a bit of homemade music. Step up on deck to see the canopy of stars before you retire.
